Charlie Veitch, the man behind the ‘The love Police’ is becoming a renowned internet filmmaker. He challenges the world we live in; corrupt governments, state control, the way we’ve been trained to think and better than that, he even hugs police officers. Motion magazine catches up with Charlie and finds out a little bit more about his work.
Hi Charlie, how are you doing? Can you tell me what it is you do?
“I am very well thank you, I am an anarcho-absurdist who uses film, cameras and megaphones to shine a light onto our world in order to bring about a resurgence of liberty and individual freedom.”
What is the message you’re trying to convey in your work?
“That we are all powerful, human, and that our individual lives have value. We are half-machine (genes, the mathematics thereof) and half-soul and its important that we do not allow corporations nor states to treat us as simply machines. The one exists in the illusory duality; of ying-yang, light-dark, good-evil, machine-soul, and by rising above it through infinite conscious perception we can attain freedom. Or, if all that was too long to read: We f**k the bad guys with a mirror.”
What provoked you to start this project?
“Being a human being. I was lucky, in that I moved around the world a lot as a child, and so I was never indoctrinated with any particular culture for long enough. I cowardly entered the world of finance to make money after graduating university – I saw the machine-world for what it really is; soul-less, ball-less, greeedy and banal. I now work to destroy it.”

When is your next video going to be made?
“Every other day!”
Your message could be deemed as ironic. On some of your videos ‘everything is OK’ appears on a sign held by someone. Your message conflicts with this. Could you explain or clarify it to me?
“It’s down to the eye of the beholder. On the metaphysical level, that of God-mode meta-narrative, of course everything is ok. We are the subjective imagination of ourselves from the edge of the universe, we are projections of the One, the Absolute, and as such we are indestructible Gods ourselves playing the video game of 3D human reality. And as such it is very challenging. We have to convince ourselves that it is real. And we do a very good job of it too! But on the local level with 20,000 children dying of poverty DAILY, with the
suckers of Satan’s C**k f**king us all day, with greedy elite bankers and Zionists raping the planet, EVERYTHING IS OBVIOUSLY NOT OK.”
In most of your videos there appears to be confrontation with the police and a lot of arguing. It’s the opinion of viewers that you know the law better than some of the police officers. What are your thoughts on this?
“Through trial and error and by simply going out there and practising my “given freedoms” – I have learnt that most uniformed-establishment-slave drones (sorry, Police Officers) know f**k all about the law. They are not lawyers or judges, they are the thug-agents of the regime and as such it doesn’t serve their purpose to be too clever. Look at the Police in the USA for example, or Canada. They have been so programmed that it is hard to recognise them as sentient humans anymore. Sometimes they act more like Cattle-AI.”
Do you have a message for all of your fans and followers?
“Firstly, I do not have fans. I take issue with that. As for followers? What the f**k is this, a religion? No. I say there are simply human beings who like the Love Police films. I would NEVER call them fans or followers. Otherwise the whole message is lost. My message is one of defiance and rebellion. By refusing to be treated as an
object, in living according to your principles, you manifest something esoteric and beautiful that is difficult to be put into words. I guess, ultimately, the message is: FREEDOM THROUGH SUPERIOR IDEAS.”
Do you think we have anything to fear within the ‘big brother’ society we live in? If so, what do you think is the public’s biggest threat?
“No, we do not have anything to “fear” but we do have a wonderful structure of ignorance and stupidity and mistrust where we can sow the seeds of beauty, of reason, of trust and of friendship. The light shines brightest when it first breaks the darkness. The “police state” is a manifestation of where humanity is right now in it’s consciousness development. It also makes “the game” more interesting. If you need to ask what “the game” is, you have already lost. In fact, whenever you even think of “the game”, [smiles] you’ve already lost”
Finally, from your videos there’s an apparent discontent. Is there something you think we, as humans, could all do to improve the world?
“It is my current opinion (subject to change) that all civilisation is an infiltration of a machine-thought-complex (a virus, if you will) from an alternate dimension in the multiverse. What I mean by this is that the “fall of man”, as mentioned in various religions, is the infection of natural man (who was living in harmony with nature) with the desire for hierarchies, slavery, surpluses, and the creation of political power. Many tribes around the world managed to remain natural, indigenous tribes in the Amazon, and to a certain extent the Indigenous native-americans. Basically, what we can do is to move away from organised state, corporatism, capitalism, and religion. Return to nature. A harmonious existence with the Goddess Earth is pretty much the most advanced technology we can live for. Technological advancement is an illusion, we are industriously and uniformedly marching towards our own destruction in an ant-like fashion. (Refer to China, 1.3 billion slaves in factories, nature annihilated – no freedom at all – yet the UN states that China is a model nation for the world). OK, to break it down even more – spread chaos and anarchy and absurdism until the machine collapses.”
